APPARAT
Kapsel

Jay Gilligan and Erik Åberg

Dec 9th and 10th; 13h00 and 15h00

Erik and Jay use juggling as a playful way to explore how humans interact with objects and the environment. The show is often surprising, and very easy to enjoy, as it is presented with a personal touch. The show suggests an entire world of possibilities, hidden just below the surface of everyday life, waiting to be discovered by everyone! Music and juggling have always been connected by the shared quality of rhythm. Apparat takes this a step further by incorporating the addition of melody into the juggling sequences

Performers: Jay Gilligan and Erik Åberg

Company: Kapsel

20 YEARS LATER - STILL HERE!

STINA & LOTTA

Dec 7th and 9th 19h00, Dec 8th 21h00

An autobiographical two-woman show about two circus performers’ 20-year journey and a nostalgic, and realistic, insight into life in showbiz. Behind all the glitz and glamor lies countless hours of repetition, blood, sweat and tears. The performance combines circus and theater and tells the story of two fearless artists and women who do not fit into the ideal image of circus artists and whose bodies have been constantly criticized.

On tour they have experienced it all; from a standing ovation at the Munich Opera to standing backstage in knee-deep snow and covered in horse shit.

Concept and performance: Lotta Paavilainen and Stina Kopra

Direction: Heidi Niemi and Troels Hagen Findsen

Consultant: Heidi Niemi and Troels Hagen Findsen

Costumel: Enna Paavilainen

Light Design: Vilma Vantola

Sound Design: Satu Kankkonen

Outside eye: Heidi Miikki

Duration: 60 minutes

VAL is the new creation by internationally renowned circus company Svalbard. Artists on stage are curated by Svalbard company member and Artistic Director Tom Brand.
